Meme Monday!!

I looooove me some crystals, Over the years I have acquired some pretty nifty specimens ranging from tumbled stones to $80 crystals. However, one of my absolute favorite types of stones are Herkimer Diamonds.

I grew up in Herkimer county (in fact according to my genealogy obsessed aunt General Herkimer was my Great-great-great-great-great uncle) so I feel like they hold a little bit of home. You also have a pleasing natural shape, mind blowing clarity, stunning rainbows, and some of the most amazing resonance you can find. I recently gifted my first silver wrapped Herk to my stepmother so tomorrow I plan to wrap another, this time using wire weaving (the chubby double terminated shape of Herks makes them a difficult stone to wrap) If the resulting stone doesnt make my eye bleed I'll be sure to put it up here :)

Today is an amazing super awesome miracle, today the universe decided to grant me something I thought was gone with my days as a student.

A snow day!

So being the super productive person that I am (Ha!) I decided to pay some bills, stick my tongue up The Vikings nose, pet the dog, rearrange my house, and after fighting the Belinda (my craft table) into some sort of semi-tidiness I even made some stuff.


Mom and Polly wanted nifty wire wrapped crosses to wear over their acolyte robes.

ALL of my sisters want Nightfuries (really, I have to make about six more versions of this little guy if I'm gonna have any chance of keeping one, especially since D.O.D. wants one too)

I also got to work on setting up my new alter. It's the first alter I haven't had to hide or disguise so I'm pretty psyced.

I even was good little witchy pants and did some meditation.

All in all it was a lovely day away from real life and other peoples dog butts.
